This Thursday July 31st, Art Spin Berlin will be launching their first Berlin-based tour through the neighborhoods of Friedrichshain and Lichtenberg.
Art Spin is a free bicycle-led art crawl originally founded in Toronto, Canada in 2009. The ride tours through galleries, artist studios and public art installations and aims to challenge the traditional contexts of exhibiting art and to bring work outside of a traditional gallery context, into unique and unorthodox spaces. The tour is free to everyone regardless of athletic ability or artistic knowledge.
Art Spin’s geographical route is just as curated as the artwork, and as a result neighborhoods are temporarily transformed, with their inhabitants seeing familiar streets in a different light during an Art Spin tour.
The inaugural tour will begin with a performance at the corner of Frankfurter Allee and Möllendorffstraße at 6:30pm.
If you’re unable to make it to the tour, you can always make your way to the final stop at HB55 (Herzbergstraße 55) after 11:00pm to enjoy some art, music, food and more.
