Berlin Art Link Party featuring YUNG JAKE and MISS M.E.

___________________________________________________________________________________
On Saturday, Sept. 20th, Berlin Art Link is throwing an all-night un-wind, wrap-up party to let off the steam of the bustling Berlin Art Week and abc – art berlin contemporary, featuring two rising stars of the Los Angeles art and music scene: Pop / artist Miss M.E and artist/rapper Yung Jake, for his first ever performance in Berlin. You can also find Yung Jake’s artwork on view at the Steve Turner Contemporary booth from Sept. 18 – 21. An all-night after-party with DJ Tommy Gunn will follow the two performances from 11pm on. We’re expecting a full and lively house, so get there early!

YUNG JAKE
In case he hasn’t hit your radar yet, Yung Jake was recently labeled by the Huffington Post as the “art world’s favorite rapper.” His sculptures and digital drawings greatly reflect our current state in age of the internet, as does his music. His videos live on the web and comment on upcoming and passing internet trends. His hit music video “E.m-bed.de/d” was featured at Sundance Film Festival in 2013 and according to LA Weekly it “satirizes viral culture while simultaneously sucking up to every relevant art blog and Internet presence [around].”

MISS M.E.
Miss M.E (Meghan Edwards) splits her time between L.A. and Berlin, writing and producing happenings for her event series TOP40, which The New York Times Style Magazine claims to be the “hottest underground party in L.A.” Meghan has also built a music career as Miss M.E, having recorded and co-produced her untitled, unreleased debut EP with Devonte Hynes of Blood Orange. She has coined her own weightless, dreamy tunes as ‘Aquatic Pop’ which when asked about it, she describes as “ a place where all feelings are felt and all dreams are reality, a place where pain and fear exist only as unsolved mysteries, weightless and beautiful. This is what my music is about – the wetness of being.” She will be performing throughout Europe for the remainder of 2014.
