Open Call // Berlin Fashion Film Festival: Submission Dates Extended

The Berlin Fashion Film Festival has extended its deadline for submissions until April 3rd. Fashion brands, labels, designers, filmmakers, producers, advertising agencies, clients, and the like, are encouraged to apply for an opportunity to showcase their creative efforts in fashion film production. The festival will take place on June 5th, 2015 and will consist of screenings, panels, Q&A sessions, and parties to celebrate the latest and most innovative branded video content focused on fashion, lifestyle, and luxury.

The winners of the festival will be thoughtfully chosen by a jury of some of the top professional creatives in advertising, fashion, and music. This year’s jury is comprised of an exciting and eclectic mix of individuals, ranging from label owners and producers to photographers and creative directors:

Christian Mix-Linzer is the founder and CEO of music licensing and supervision agency Tracks & Fields and has been a speaker at events like SXSW. Shaway Yeh, the Group Style Editorial Director for Modern Media, has been a key player in developing fashion media in China and providing readers with the latest in news, trends, style, and culture. We Are From L.A., best known for directing Pharrell Williams24 hours of Happy and winners of one Grand Prix and six Lions at Cannes Lions 2014 for the charismatic video which has gone viral throughout the world. David Danesi, founder and CEO of Digital District, runs high-end post-production houses in Paris and Shanghai.

Adriano Alarcon is a freelance photographer and the Creative Director for FCB Brasil. Thomas Hoffman is the founder of &Co. in Copenhagen and winner of over 250 national and international awards for creative direction. Kerstin Geffert is the owner and co-founder of Berlin-based PR agency Silk Relations. Stephen Whelan, who has worked for Dazed and Confused and the Guardian in the past, is now the Executive Producer for White Lodge, a creative strategy and productive house.

Bebe Kiffin, a producer from the U.K., has worked with several renowned directors for the BBC, as well as for advertising agencies and as the Executive Producer for international editing company Whitehouse Post. Esben Ehrenreich, who has worked for FCB Vienna, Saatchi & Saatchi and BBDO Berlin, is now the Executive Creative Director for Y&R Germany. Tom Hidvegi, Creative Strategy Officer for DDB Budapest, playing an important role in developing marketing and branding strategies in Central and Eastern Europe.

And finally, Alexandra Bondi de Antoni, a photographer and journalist boasting experience from INDIE, Dazed and Confused, BLONDE and Material Girl, is now the Editor in Chief of i-D Germany. Based in the Berlin VICE office, she works on editorial pieces and fashion video content for i-D.co.

Filmmakers and creatives of all genres are highly encouraged to apply before April 3rd for a chance to get major international media exposure from design/lifestyle blogs and mainstream German press, as well as for an opportunity to join the BfFF on tour film programme.
