Announcement // The Gray Voice Ensemble presents: ‘The Prayer for Community’

Article by Brit Seaton in Berlin // Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016

The Gray Voice Ensemble is a Berlin-based community choir, directed by Elisabeth Wood. They sing the intriguingly strange, meditative fantasia music of Albert McCloud—a form of composition with roots in the art of improvisation. Presenting a new annual programme since 2013, The Gray Voice Ensemble will return to the stage this November to showcase their latest performance entitled ‘The Prayer for Community’.

Showing at the Reduta Schauspielschule für Theater und Film, each of the three concerts will feature a special guest performer. Former performance guests included Tomomi Adachi, Tarren Johnson, Tomi Simatupang, Hanne Lippard and Poppet. On Saturday November 26th, the choir will be accompanied by MYSTI, presenting the lecture and performance ‘Go Tell Your Queer Community’. For the shows on Sunday 27th November, Alistair will perform ‘L Dance’ at the early performance, followed by songs from Roman Ole during the evening show. The Sunday performance will conclude with an after party.
