Open Call for Artists // The Fact Finder Exhibition Program

Article in Berlin // Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017

The Fact Finder invites artists to submit proposals that respond to the concept of “fact-finding”. The new Berlin art space is looking for works and art projects that rely on unmediated, first-hand experiences the artists have been through while aiming to better understand a specific topic, fact or aspect of everyday life. Field research/immersive journalism/flâneurism/voyaging are examples of the processes regarded as fact-finding missions, among others. The focus is on works involving a long-term commitment and preferably having an archiving/serial character.

Berlin Art Link Open Call Fact Finders

Preferred mediums include drawing (drawing reportage), painting, installation, spoken word/storytelling, archiving and every other medium that connects well with the concept. The selected works will be included in the 2018 exhibition program of The Fact Finder, a recently opened art space in Berlin that commits to showcase fact-finding artists going the full length of researching a particular topic. The Fact Finder welcomes submissions of any length, with images of works and/or links to online material, including the “making of”, if relevant to the concept, to have a bigger picture of the artistic process and context.
