European Month of Photography: Portfolio Review – Deadline: 9 Nov. 2012

For the first time, the European Month of Photography is hosting a portfolio review for aspiring photographers at the conclusion of this year’s festival.

Photographers are requested to submit portfolios consisting of 5-10 images and, if chosen to continue to the next stage of the selection process, their work will be subject to review by an expert panel of twenty artists, agents and curators. The chosen photographers will also be able to make a 15-minute individual presentation about their work.

Among the panel will be Felix Hoffman from C/O Berlin, Frank Schumacher from Lette-Verein, Isolde Berger from Monopol magazine and Eva Bertram from the Neue Schule für Fotografie.

Three cash prizes will be awarded for the best works and first place will receive an exhibition in pavlov’s dog gallery space.

For the opportunity to have your work seen by prominent figures in Berlin’s photographic community, submissions are requested via email as a PDF file to portfolio@mdf-berlin.de (max. 10MB) with an accompanying work description and short biography.

The submission deadline is 9 November 2012.
