OPEN CALL for Photographers // Studio Chérie Calls for Courage

As a part of the 48h Neukölln Festival, Studio Chérie is holding a photography competition, specifically for photos with an emphasis in conceptual photography and inspired by the festival theme of “courage.”

There will be ten winners announced, with the first prize winner receiving a weekend shoot at Studio Chérie. Other winners will be a part of an exhibition at the photography studio and project space for the festival, happening June 27-29th.

The deadline for applications is May 20th. The jury includes creative director of Gestalten, gallerist Pierre André Podbielski, photographer Maxime Ballesteros, curator Tina Sauerländer, and photographer Christoph Neumann.The audience of the show then can vote for one winner of the weekend photo shoot, who will be announced at the closing night of the exhibition.

The application should include no more than five images, all created within the past five years, in digital form. Artists are asked to submit information, a CV, description or concept of images, and the images in one PDF to contest@studiocherie.net. Applications can be in English or German.
