Blog post by Nora Kovacs in Berlin // Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015

This coming June, the Berlin Fashion Film Festival will give brands, labels, designers, filmmakers, producers, advertising agencies, clients, and the like, an opportunity to showcase their creative efforts in fashion film production. The festival consists of screenings, panels, Q&A sessions, and parties to celebrate the latest and most innovative branded video content focused on fashion, lifestyle, and luxury.

Since 2012, the festival has brought together film, fashion, art, music, and branding, featuring media from Vogue.it, Interview Magazine, The Independent, Le Cool, I-D, Vanity Fair, and many more. A sneak peek of this year’s lineup shows great promise for what is to come, with films taking increasingly artistic approaches to the way they highlight and advertise fashion labels. Director Huba Barat‘s film, “Akuma”, starring male model sensation Shaun Ross, will showcase the designs of Nina Athanasiou, while director Gustav Johansson will continue collaborations with Vogue, H&M, and Nike. Creatives may also choose to take a more abstract direction, like director Matthew Frost has done in “Aspirational”, a film starring Kirsten Dunst.

The festival offers international media exposure to all its partakers, from design and lifestyle blogs to mainstream German press, as well as an opportunity to join the BfFF on tour film programme. Submissions are welcome for films of all genres and backgrounds, regardless of status or budget, with the festival acting as an ideal platform for networking and publicity.

Berlin Fashion Film Festival will take place from June 4th-5th and will be accepting regular submissions until Feb. 28th and late entries until Mar. 20th. For more information on how to submit go to their website.
