The 19th Venice Architecture Biennale, titled ‘Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective.,’ centers on plural intelligences, natural ecosystems, artificial technologies and the collective wisdom of communities. This year, curator Carlo Ratti—an Italian architect and engineer—envisions architecture at the epicenter of our response to ecological crises. The exhibition, which opened on May 10th, spans multiple venues, including the Giardini, Arsenale and peripheral pavilions throughout Venice. Catch a glimpse of this year’s offerings through Ivan Erofeev and Olga Smirnova’s lens, showing views from across the main exhibition and the pavilions.
