The Hopper Prize is now accepting submissions for its Spring 2026 artist grants, offering support to visual artists and photographers working across all media worldwide.
Awarded twice annually, this grant cycle provides six grants totaling $13,000 USD, designed to encourage creative experimentation and professional development. Two artists will each receive a grant of $4,500, while four artists will each be awarded $1,000. In addition to financial support, the program offers artists the opportunity to connect with an international network of curators, artists, gallerists and arts professionals. All selected artists will gain further exposure through a feature in the ‘Hopper Prize Journal’ and on their Instagram feed, reaching an audience of over 150,000 followers. 30 artists will be shortlisted for this additional visibility.
The Hopper Prize supports artists from diverse backgrounds and geographic locations and has previously recognized outstanding work from German-based artists, including Johanna Seidel (Dresden, 2025), Alex Bex (Berlin, 2024) and Ingmar Björn Nolting (Leipzig, 2023).
Any artist over the age of 18 is eligible to win The Hopper Prize. There is a non-refundable $40 application fee to submit your work.
