Open Call for Berlin Art Week Featured Section

Berlin Art Week is now accepting applications for its Featured section as part of the 15th edition of the festival, taking place from September 9th to 13th, 2026. This open call invites Berlin-based art initiatives, project spaces, municipal institutions and special projects to submit proposals to expand the festival’s program.

The Featured section highlights projects in newly discovered locations, opening the city’s art landscape to diverse, experimental and site-specific approaches. From independent collectives and artist-run spaces to municipal institutions and curated constellations, this section presents projects that bring new perspectives to Berlin’s contemporary art scene. Each year, a newly appointed jury selects the projects that will be included in the festival program, emphasizing originality, relevance and the potential for public engagement.

All Berlin-based art organizations—including independent project groups, project spaces, initiatives and municipal institutions—are welcome to apply, while individual artists without exhibition spaces and commercial formats are not eligible.
