Open Call for the Impossible Library Residency in Hamburg

Apr. 2, 2020

The Impossible Library invites artists, writers, independent publishers, researchers and designers to apply for a two-week residency in the Hamburg-based project space. The Impossible Library is an inventory of over 1000 independent magazines and zines.

The objective of the residency is to address publishing in relation to bigger social questions, such as: What is subversive publishing? What role do archives play in digital capitalism? How do publics emerge through people, publications, places? What can alternative models to entrenched cultures look like: niches, gaps, present, future?
