Artist Romeo Alaeff is now offering a series of drawing workshops for the Drawing Toolbox in Berlin, taking place throughout October. With a background in animation (Alaeff worked on award-winning children’s television shows for Nickelodean and PBS) and a successful career as a contemporary artist (Alaeff has been a guest artist and teacher at the Rhode Island School of Design, Brown, and Parsons) Alaeff is now sharing his vast professional experience through drawing workshops exploring various elements of the creative process.

Alaeff’s drawings combine his talent as an artist with his sardonic sense of humour. In his series The Evolution of Despair detailed pen and ink drawings of various animals express tragicomic human emotions. Alaeff is the author of “I’ll be Dead by the Time You Read This” (Penguin Books, 2011); a book of his animal drawings accompanied by short texts, and was featured in the street-art bible, “Stuck Up Piece of Crap” (Rizzoli, 2010).

Details of upcoming workshops can be seen on The Drawing Toolbox website; an online resource of tools and insights that come directly from notable artist’s who work within the medium.
