FRIEZE PUBLISHING: Launches German/English Bilingual Publication
Blog Entry by Henna Räsänen – in Berlin; Saturday, May 8, 2011.
The publication provides a bold coverage of the German art world. Themes covered in the first issue of frieze d/e offer interesting questions and ideas, from the class difference in art to changes in Swiss art funding and censorship. The in-depth articles discuss work from inspiring artists such as Berlin-based artist Henrik Olensen. Olensen is a sculpturist whose work focuses in tearing down the clichés of gay identities as well as the constrained opposites often found in the society. Other interesting names covered in the first issue are Pamela Rosenkranz, Christian Mayer and Max Frisinger.
