Photo Blog // Broken Fingaz Berlin Solo Show: Bottleneck

Article by Dominic Strutton & photos by Stephanie Third in Berlin // Tuesday, Oct.29, 2013

After a decade of illuminating the walls of many of the world’s major cities, the Israeli “psych pop-art” collective Broken Fingaz Crew bring their biggest installation yet to Urban Spree. A giant collaboration from the foursome adorns the wall visible from Warschauer Strasse, a seamless medley of surreal political statement and gruesome comic-book imagery. Inside, the group showcase their individual ideas and style, each work as eye-catching & thought-provoking as the last. However the most compelling piece proves to be the second collective effort “Vicious Cycle”, a 3D mosaic of found materials which wields its Holocaust imagery with a rare energy and conviction. Be warned, you may even find yourself inspired to get a tattoo.
