The independent project space P145 will exhibit their group show ‘Superposition’ from September 5th–13th, coinciding with Berlin’s Gallery Weekend. P145 invites applications from female-identifying artists working in all artistic fields to submit their applications. The application calls for tactile, performance or textual artworks to be considered as part of the ‘Superposition’ show.
The title, ‘Superposition’, emphasizes the mutual advancement of each other through coexistence. Following this theme, the exhibition aims to create a visible platform for contemporary women artists, particularly in light of the setbacks earlier in the year. The gallery wants to implement a female-run project and program into the annual Gallery Weekend program, directly reflecting on a post-crisis future as independent protagonists within the art world. The exhibition will also be accompanied by a panel discussion on the current status of women in the arts and how to further support and expand networks in Berlin and internationally. The open call runs from August 4th–18th, 2020 with the jury decision available on August 24th.
