Das Spreehöfe Projekt is calling for work for their upcoming exhibition presented in conjunction with the Schöneweide Arts Festival 2015. The exhibition titled das Blaue von Himmel versprechen (to promise the moon), investigates the bodily relation to its environment and the ways in ways in which these spatial relationships reflect upon, critique, and contribute to various social issues. Artists from around the globe whose work investigates these topics are invited to apply.
Das Spreehöfe Projekt seeks to generate connections between young artists from around the globe working in a variety of methods and media. Through exhibitions and related programming, Das Spreehöfe Projekt approaches topics of social critique from a cross-cultural lens and examines how local issues around the world converge in the international city of Berlin. This project aims to highlight the common conditions that people around the globe face and to encourage solutions on both local and global levels, beginning with a shared sense of compassion and understanding.
To apply, send a concept proposal, CV with relevant links, and at least three digital images of your work to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please not that all artists will be personally responsible for travel costs of their artworks to and from Berlin. The deadline is Friday, April 17th 2015.
