Brody ArtYard and BP! Comics invite comic artists to submit their work for publication in a compilation of graphic novels to be launched early next year at the first installment of new indie comic fair, Sztriptíz, in Budapest.
Sztriptíz – Indie Comic Fair is dedicated to the art of alternative comic design, showcasing comics and graphic novels that break with mainstream superhero narratives, with a wide of range of subjects, styles and genres. The open call is looking for stories from the region of Central Eastern Europe that deal with local issues and the experiences of daily life in the countries of this region. Ten submissions will be chosen, printed in Risograph, and compiled into a comic anthology. The book will be launched during the fair, taking place 12 -14 February 2016, hosted at Brody ArtYard, a print studio and gallery in Budapest. The chosen artists will also be invited to exhibit their work at the fair.
