The second XR_Unites open call is addressed to interdisciplinary teams from Berlin’s independent cultural scene and creative industries that deal with the topic of embodiment and related socially relevant issues in the medium of virtual reality (VR), both formally and in terms of content. The EU funded project XR_Unites at HTW Berlin offers advice and support for agile development, the necessary software and a contingent of XR hardware for testing and presentation purposes. The XR_Unites expert board provides feedback on implementation. At the end of the joint development, there is a presentation co-organized by XR_Unites.
Interdisciplinary teams of at least 3 people living in Berlin can apply. Applications must be submitted in either German or English. The application documents should include a joint letter of motivation of max. 3000 characters (incl. spaces), the concept of max. 15,000 characters (incl. spaces), an outline of required work packages and responsibilities (who does what in the team?), one short CV with picture per team member, and a portfolio of previous relevant work per team member.
The decision will be made by a jury consisting of Pablo Dornhege, Christoph Holtmann, Peggy Schoenegge, Dagmar Schürrer, and Maja Stark. Applications will only be accepted by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. The decision will be made in mid-August 2021 and the selected team will be notified by email.
