The second edition of St. Moritz Art Film Festival will be held in St. Moritz, Switzerland from August 31st to September 3rd, 2023. The application is open to all arthouse movies or videos of different genres, lengths and targets with the aim of innovating and demonstrating creative originality in the relationship to the annual theme ‘Becoming-Landscape.’
The films are divided into two categories. Firstly: Films in Competition, including only world premieres of feature-length or video art films that were completed after September 1st, 2021, have not had commercial distribution or online exhibition, and have not been previously screened to the public or press. An international jury of five personalities from cinema and culture will award the following prizes: Love at First Sight Award, Best Film by an Artist Award and Best Arthouse Film Award. Secondly: Films Out of Competition, wherein some of the most important works of the year will be presented in the non-competing section, selected upon invitation from the Artistic Director, Stefano Rabolli Pansera.
Each film will be preceded and accompanied by public encounters and conversations with directors, actors and personalities from the world of art and culture.
The submission of films to the second edition of St. Moritz Art Film Festival is open from January 1st until May 31st, 2023. All the movies and video works must be sent with English subtitles.
