This Saturday marks the first live auction of De Joode & Kamutzki, a new Berlin auction house specializing in contemporary art.
Operating under the mission, “bringing the right art to the people and the right people to the art,” founders Rachel de Joode and Maria Kamutzki hope to replace pretense with passion at their biannual auctions and make contemporary art accessible to everyone.
Covering everything from photography to sculpture, this Saturday’s auction will present a diverse range of works from artists across the world, such as Nicky Broekhuysen, Anna Hughes, Ilse Leenders, Katja Novitskova, Anna Daniell and Hvass&Hannibal.
For a first look at the pieces for sale, see: dejoodeandkamutzki.com. On March 17 the complete catalogue will be online to view and to download as a pdf.
The Auction will be held at Hackescher Markt 4 (Eingang Neue Promenade 3) in Berlin (click here for map).
