The Brussels contemporary drawing fair, Art On Paper, in collaboration with Bozar and with the support of Eeckmann Art & Insurance, is accepting project applications for the Eeckmann Art Prize from any artist or art student, without any age limit, as long as he/she is not represented by a gallery. Projects submitted to the selection committee must fall within a practice of drawing but may be open to other formats than the traditional line on paper: performance-based, three-dimensional, movement drawing, etc. They can be new or older works.
The winner of the Eeckmann Art Prize is appointed by a jury bringing together personalities from the world of contemporary art, prior to the fair. He/she gets the opportunity to exhibit his/her work in a dedicated space throughout the course of the show, accompanied by the artistic direction, as well as benefits from a support and a press service. A production and transport budget of EUR 500,– is allocated to the artist in order to prepare the exhibition. Insurance of works of the laureate will be supported by Eeckmann Art & Insurance throughout the duration of the show.
To take part, send your CV, a description of the project, and a minimum of 5 images with captions (date, technique, dimensions). The application can be written in French, English or Dutch.
Deadline: May 4, 2018
